This presentation will relate to the prosecution of criminal cases where the evidence is primarily “circumstantial”. Circumstantial evidence cases present unique proof challenges to the prosecution and requires a detail-oriented investigation that has to account for the implausibility of alternatives to the defendant’s guilt. The lecture and presentation will use a 2013 St. Paul murder case as a teaching model of the proof of guilt with circumstantial evidence.
